Medical Science Liaison (Southern Poland)
•Profile the medical landscape within the Disease Area and continuously update this knowledge, including knowledge and expertise in products, patient treatment trends, unmet medical needs, clinical trials and scientific activities
•Develop and maintain contacts with Thought Leaders, in accordance with the strategy developed by the company to further understand and gain both insight and/or input into treatment patterns, unmet medical needs, patient needs and behaviors,
•Contribute to involvement of Thought Leaders, as required and as appropriate, in local and/or GDO driven studies and other scientific activities
•Expertly communicating scientific and/or clinical data to research or healthcare professionals (fluency in medical communication/high-level scientific language/biostatistics background needed)
Provide medical services to external customers
•Exhibit a high degree of familiarity with, and proficiency in, centrally developed scientific resources and presentations. Present information to HCPs, as appropriate, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures, ethical and legal guidelines and directives
•Propose to the Brand Team scientifically meaningful medical programs such as Continuous Medical Educational Programs and Symposia and ensure flawless execution of such activities
•Identify potential speakers for BMS educational programs and ensure that these speakers receive all necessary product and disease state training
•Contribute to the development of scientific presentations, as appropriate
•Actively pursue regional activities in collaboration with SA
•As appropriate, contribute to the initial and ongoing medical/scientific disease area and product-specific training of internal BMS customers (Sales force, etc)
•Facilitate continuous improvement towards higher quality work and promote innovation within the local team.
•Provide scientific support to Internal Stakeholders, specifically to Marketing, Regulatory, Outcomes Research, Pharmacovigilance, Legal Counsel and Market Access
•Provide clinical trial support
•Ensure that BMS Pharmacovigilance SOPs are understood and applied by Investigators of local studies, and alert appropriate Company personnel
•Contribute to ensuring the highest standards of clinical safety
•Respond to product related emergency calls, as appropriate.
•Expert on procedures and compliance
•Endorse and implement a culture of compliance
•Adhere to all internal and external rules and regulations
•Convey a clear message on legal and ethical standards to Expert Physicians and Investigators
Skills, Competencies and Knowledge:
•Good disease area knowledge, including key scientific publications.
•Expert knowledge of a scientific or clinical area.
•Expert knowledge of relevant Company products.
•Knowledge of clinical trial design and process.
•In-depth knowledge of the National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry.
•English language skills & fluent Polish
•Communication and presentation skills
•Life science educational background (Medical doctor (physician), PharmD or PhD desired),
• Experience in field medical role
