  • To create, establish and embed into BMS Logistics a consistent, reliable, high quality, cost-effective and agile transportation and warehouse functionalities based on Customers’ and Commercial requirements. Develop the right functional managing structure (monthly spend reporting, deviation management, trend analysis, etc.) to meet the functional, GSC and BMS objectives of service, cost, and compliance and Do the right work (key objectives) at the right time (priorities).

  • Influences and collaborates with In Market Logistics, Plant Sites, Regional Logistics, Procurement, Security, EHS, WWPT, Regulatory, Legal, Market Coordinator, R&D, Commercial, Quality, External partners, and many others in the effective and efficient deployment of logistics capabilities across all transportation modes, temperature management (cold chain) and warehouse functions. Be a problem-solving, solution-providing entity to facilitate the launch and uptake distribution of new products as well as the continual improvement on process and technology with a growth mindset to deliver upmost Customer Service and cost management.

  • Manage regional Supplier relationships with Warehouse & Transportation service providers to leverage the markets’ technological capabilities. Perform service provider business reviews. Work closely with Procurement to create and review RFQ’s for the selection of new 3PL and implement new 3PL’s in collaboration with In Market Logistics and other stakeholders. Gain access to the latest market innovations to maintain BMS competitive position.

  • As a core member of the Global Transportation, Warehouse, and Temperature Control Network

  • Develop processes and tools supporting the continuous learning and timely integration of the market needs into the BMS market Logistics capability requirement.

  • Manage appropriate Transportation/Warehousing/Temperature Control metrics to track performance of logistics service providers as well as pro-actively work on improvement opportunities using data analytics and market knowledge

  • Strongly support the establishment, development and operation for the Network in the achievement of desired transportation, warehousing, and temperature control capabilities.

  • Support deployment and effective use of global system solution.

  • Engage in creation and review of Regional/Global SOP’s.

  • Act as regional representative and escalation point for issue resolution

  • Share regional best practices and integrate and deploy new processes.

  • Requirements:

  • Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent.

  • Advanced degree, professional diploma or certification in Supply Chain Management/Logistics and/or MBA a plus.

  • Experience / Knowledge Desired:

  • 8+ years of Transportation (all modes and methods) and Warehouse management experience in Pharmaceutical industry or similar product-profile company with progressive experience in various roles. 4+ years of APAC market experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge and best practice experience on logistics contract management and working with strategic logistical service providers for global Logistics solutions, especially in the field of warehouse, transportation or network optimization, setting the Customer at the center of the processes. Experience on logistics temperature control (cold chain) management a big plus.

  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Distribution Practices (cGDP) and other global/market regulatory requirements in the field of Warehousing and/or Transportation, 3PL management.

  • Preferred to have experience in developing and implementing world class, global logistics processes and managing them through deployment and into a sustained operation model while maintaining Customer satisfaction.

  • Experience in SRM process, principles and practices preferred.

  • Six Sigma certifications a plus

  • Knowledge and/or Experience on Import and Export a plus.

  • Knowledge and/or Experience on SAP a plus.
