Translate scientific and clinical data into meaningful relevant medical communications for health care providers to make informed decisions about patient treatment.
Participate in the development of a China specific publication strategy to address unmet needs.
Execute publication plan in conjunction with strategic medical objectives.
Develop and execute the delivery of high quality medical publication programs in collaboration with relevant members of the cross-function teams, and agencies as required.
Adhere to the industry standards and external guidelines related to publication, keep high updates on BMS Publication Policies and Practices.
Foster alignment of publication standards across therapeutic areas and between global and local medical publication groups.
Strive to continuously update personal knowledge of marketed and products, patient treatment trends and scientific activities within the Disease Areas across all promoted and near-to-market brands.
Keep abreast of industry trends, news, and disease area information with regard to current or future positioning of disease areas or products.
Demonstrate independence and empowerment towards driving constant improvement and continuous productivity.
Build and maintain relationships throughout the organization to ensure that the desired services and levels of professional support are adequate to meet internal/external clients’ requirements.
Continuously review publication projects in order to monitor, track status and provide needed updates to customer.
University degree in the health sciences with a background in medicine or pharmacology.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite and other pertinent software programs, including medical search engines.
Proven contributor to the content development of medical publications and presentations.
Familiarity with both local and international writing/editorial standards, and have related medical writing/editorial experience will be a plus.
Working across and building effective working relationships between Medical, HEOR and Global/Regional Clinical Research or Operations departments.
At least 2-3 years’ experience in Medical/R&D of pharmaceutical/health care companies, or publisher/medical communication companies.
Understanding the value of the role in producing strategically aligned medical communications.
Proven ability to assimilate knowledge in specific therapeutic areas like Hepatitis or Oncology.
Familiarity with International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals.
