Seeking collaborative and innovative scientists to join the Immuno-Oncology Translational Bioinformatics group. The group is responsible for advancing Bristol-Myers Squibb’s industry-leading immune-oncology pipeline through the application of machine learning, network analysis, and bioinformatics approaches. Our scientists design experiments and analyze both pre-clinical and clinical omics data sets to nominate novel drug targets, enable patient enrichment strategies, and guide drug development decisions. The group interacts with and influences all aspects of research and development at Bristol-Myers Squibb, from early discovery through late-stage development as a key contributor in Translational Medicine.
Develop computational models and build tools to enable data-driven target discovery and patient stratification for new therapeutic indications
Collaborate with other bioinformaticians, statisticians, cancer biologists, and immunologists to leverage internal and external high-dimensional data sets to improve data-driven target identification for translational medicine
Communicate findings and recommend follow up actions in multiple settings (including: 1:1, seminars, group and project meetings)
Ph.D. in bioinformatics, engineering, statistics, cancer biology, immunology, genetics, or similar with 0+ years of industry experience.
Expertise with a high-level programming language such as R or Python for complex data analysis and reproducible research practices.
Proficiency with integrating and analyzing high-dimensional, omics data sets relevant for immune-oncology.
Capability to conduct systematic analyses to evaluate multiple hypotheses and prioritize clinically-relevant questions.
Scientific curiosity with an ability to identify questions bioinformatics approaches can address, and the skills to develop solutions both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Strong communication, data presentation, and visualization skills.
Background in oncology/immuno-oncology and/or experience working with clinical trial data is a plus.
Experience with single cell sequencing data analysis is a plus.
