Thoughtful, strategic, and consistent branding is vital to how BMS promotes its values and scientific portfolio, reaches its key stakeholders, advances business goals, and builds its corporate reputation. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Communications, the Senior Director, Corporate Brand & Creative Services is responsible for leading the development of a cohesive global digital experience and brand strategy and overseeing the production of a portfolio of related creative content.

In coordination with the social and digital content leads on the Leadership Communications team, this leader would orchestrate the strategy behind how BMS shows up to the world, promoting consistency in visual assets and storylines across owned channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of fourteen digital, design, and brand experts, with four direct reports

  • Oversee the development of creative digital and brand assets that support company priorities, goals, and milestones

  • Orchestrate the overall aesthetic and layout of BMS’s owned platforms, including the corporate website and newsroom

  • Oversee Workplace Branding iniatives, including intergrations

  • Maintain a pulse on how other healthcare and pharmaceutical companies are promoting their brands to inform how BMS differentiates itself

  • Provide counsel to Corporate Affairs leadership on optimizing the operations behind maintaining BMS’s brand and deploying creative assets that support it

Key Qualifications

  • 12+ years of corporate communications experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry

  • Expert knowledge of digital platforms and technology

  • Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to understand and translate business strategy

  • Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Excels in fast-paced, challenging environment

  • Excellent writing skills and a keen attention to detail

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, or related field.
