Bristol Myers Squibb IT Business Partnering – Order to Cash & Finance Operations in Princeton, New Jersey
We seek a passionate and innovative IT Business partner join our team in Princeton, NJ, to partner with professionals in Finance Operations and Order-to-Cash (OTC) to comprehensively understand their digital capability needs focusing on portfolio and project planning and the increasing demand for analytical capabilities across Finance. In addition, this role will provide strategic vision and develop plans to ensure that industry leading IT technology platforms relevant to financial industry regulations, standards, best practices, strategies, tools are leveraged, formulate innovative digital capability recommendations and influence business direction.
This role is fully accountable for delivering the IT value proposition to its Business Partners.
Develop strategic, collaborative, and trusted partnerships with sponsors and stakeholders across all levels of the Finance Operations and OTC as well as IT Partner functions. Fully accountable for delivering a portfolio of IT investments and their outcomes.
Contribute to the development and prioritization of strong and clear business cases for digital capability investments in support the Finance Operations and OTC roadmaps and aligned with IT strategy.
Work with stakeholders to lead business process assessment, identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions with quantifiable benefits, and develop business cases to initiate projects.
Build business cases for technology capabilities supporting finance operations and OTC that meet near-term and long-term needs. Articulate business value and ROI, and define detailed requirements for those capabilities.
Build and own the IT partnership with the business area, and define a multi-year strategic business/process roadmap with the Finance Operations and OTC.
Defines, measures, & delivers business outcomes that optimize value and cost.
Drives business process change to achieve maximum value from investments (own change management plans, training, SOPs, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree or higher with a focus on computer science, Information Technology or Finance and Accounting.
Must have a proven track-record of 8+ years working in large and/or complex IT / Finance programs.
Strong financial and analytical skills, as well as excellent business partnering skills required.
Must have experience in financial process and how they apply to the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong experience with aspects of financial reporting cycle including development of annual business plan, financial projections, and BMS financial systems required
Formal project management experience is highly desirable, including experience in estimating, cost/benefit analysis, and Agile methodologies.
Possess strong written and oral presentation skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical teams. Excellent collaboration skills; ability to organize and present ideas in a convincing and compelling manner that will deliver tangible business outcomes.
Collaborate with technical resources in the IT organization to monitor progress and ensure successful implementations in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business processes is required.
Demonstrated ability to use structured problem solving and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root cause, create action plans, assess impact and develop resolution options.
Ability to effectively elicit complex business requirements in both small and large settings across audiences including business and IT professionals.
Ability to build productive, trusted relationships and influence the scope and direction of initiatives across multiple levels of management and organizational boundaries
Superior verbal communication skills with expert proficiency in framing and delivering messages via multiple modalities including collaboration technologies (SharePoint, Skype), PowerPoint presentations, and email.
