Bristol Myers Squibb Associate Director, WW Product & Therapeutic Sales in Princeton, New Jersey
The Associate Director, Worldwide Product & Therapeutic Sales Training will work with US and WW Training Leaders, Marketing, Medical, and various matrix teams to architect an innovative, consistent BMS approach to product and disease state training for Worldwide prioritized markets. He or she will hire, manage and lead a team of instructional designers and partner with selected vendors to ensure the timely development of training content that meets the needs of prioritized markets is achieved.
Lead the design and development phase of worldwide product and therapeutic training initiatives, including launch readiness training programs, training on competitive products and marketplace, and new indication training for all prioritized brands with a focus on oncology.
Conduct needs analysis with prioritized markets and formally assess current state and develop a long term strategy and roadmap to continually improve the quality and efficiency of the process and deliverables.
Manage all aspects of program development, including design, development and integration of content, go to market strategy, and vendor management in partnership with the Worldwide Training Managers.
Support the local training content approval process in accordance with company policy.
Ensure appropriate tracking and documentation of learning in accordance with company policy and local regulations while innovating new ways to increase efficiencies.
Ensure ongoing analysis of field sales representative training needs based on current and future requirements of the business and changing internal/external environment through partnering with local market stakeholders to understand those needs.
Collaborate with Local Market Training Leads to develop and monitor metrics to evaluate the success of training and contract on an ongoing basis with stakeholders to ensure business needs are met.
Contribute to the annual business planning process, including establishing a training plan, budget, resources, and investment strategy specifically for Product and Therapeutic Training.
Hire, manage, develop and set strategy for a team of Instructional Design Managers who will deliver innovate learning solutions for prioritized local markets and who have the expertise and ability to flex as needed between worldwide training teams.
Four year Bachelor’s degree required.
Instructional design degree and/or experience with a focus on adult learning principles.
Deep experience or knowledge in Oncology is required. Knowledge of other therapeutic areas such as, Cardiovascular, Immunology is beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with matrix teams (Medical, Legal, Marketing, Sales, Compliance, Operations.)
Experience managing needs in complex, global markets.
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, and proven project management experience.
Experience in hiring and successfully leading teams.
Ability to prioritize business needs and make timely decisions based on available data.
Ability to travel outside the US 10% of time
This position will be based in Princeton Pike, NJ.
