Bristol Myers Squibb Lead DCM, Enabling Functions Data Lake in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Lead delivery of BMS’ Enterprise Data Lake solutions in IDM for Enabling Functions business units leveraging the enterprise SDLC methodology.
Maintain holistic view of enterprise data solutions and design, develop and implement data lake solutions.
Influences technical best practices and the use of technology
Co-develop reusable components with the Data Engineering team to enable faster time to market for functional solutions
Collaborate in defining Technology Refresh/Obsolescence Planning
Ensures that the solution is appropriately aligned with the overall enterprise data platform strategies
Provide environments management & oversight, Testing (Manual & Automated, unit and SIT reviews) including Change Management tickets, Branch management policies and procedures
Provides release planning (PTT, PTP) and one consistent deployment approach for all rollouts
Provide access request, guidance on entitlement process, ASR creation and approvals
Point of contact for scrum methodology executing project team needs. Will act on requirements either directly or by pulling in required horizontal SMEs
Manage vendor partner relationships
Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Data Architecture teams to develop and execute data architectural strategies for the Enterprise data lake capabilities
Refine and clarify functional requirements & develop physical data models in conjunction with Data Architecture team
Enable level 3 application incident and problem resolution support as needed.
4 year bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, MIS or related field; MS or related advanced degree is a plus
10-12+ years overall work experience in Information Technology with 3 in data related disciplines
3 years domain experience in implementing Enterprise Data lakes on AWS or other cloud platforms. Preferably experience building in AWSBig data Platform (S3, EMR, Redshift), AWS RDS, AWS DynamoDB, Paxata & Informatica Metadata Management platforms
Experience in Enabling Functions (HR/Legal/Compliance/Finance, etc)
Technical expertise in one or more data warehousing, data integration and/or data preparation technologies with an ability to be hands-on
Strong communication and relationship building skills to establish trust and rapport with the business teams
Ability to clearly articulate the Enterprise data lake capabilities roadmap, status of requests and issues both with IT Business Partner Organizations and core functional teams
Proven experience in leading data solution and data integration projects
Good influence and facilitation skills
Strong project management skills
Good understanding of Data Management principles
Experience in driving adoption of process changes
Proficiency at demonstrating the Core BMS Behaviors
