Bristol Myers Squibb Associate Director US Innovative Medicines Analytics in Lawrence Township, New Jersey

The successful candidate will partner with brand and sales management to create the analytics vision and strategy for performance reporting in alignment with leadership priorities and business stakeholder requirements.

To facilitate this partnership, the candidate will be responsible for the following core deliverables:

  • Develop standard cross-brand metrics/KPIs, and works with Sales and Marketing leadership to enhance value of information in business performance and execution reports

  • Partner proactively with Brand Marketing, Sales, BI&A teams, and other internal/external matrix teams to deliver integrated solutions to emerging issues and questions

  • Enables flawless execution and delivery of all Sales and Marketing scorecards for all Innovative Medicine brands and identify opportunities for in-depth analytics based on ongoing trend assessments

  • Enable seamless development, execution, and evaluation of ad-hoc requests. Manages ad-hoc requests to ensure all questions and investigations are researched and responded to appropriately to the relevant stakeholders

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the following core activities:

  • Manage and execute the evaluation, improvement, and development of self-service reporting tools/capabilities, including Onelook and Tableau

  • Perform QA/QC for all performance reporting deliverables, provides commentary on trends and key metrics and is responsible for dissemination to appropriate business stakeholder

  • Centralize, streamline, and deliver all sales and marketing reports in a flawless and timely manner

  • Responsible for generation and management of all performance reporting requests including: Ad-hoc Sub National, Home Office, Marketing and Sales Force reporting requests

The role also has a direct report that works across the Innovative Medicines US business in support of core Business Performance deliverables and activities.


List of minimum requirements

• Degree/Certification/Licensure

• BA/BS required

• 7+ Years Pharmaceutical Experience

Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years

• Experience working in the therapeutic area of Cardiovascular and/or Immuno-science

• 7+ years of experience developing and using advanced analytics and reporting techniques in the pharmaceutical industry

• Direct experience with analyzing large, complex data sets and interacting with relational databases

• Significant experience manipulating and interpreting secondary data, including sub-national data sources

• Experience operating successfully in a complex organization environment

• Ability to draw inferences from disparate pieces of data; identify key findings; and link to implications and provide recommendations

• Ability to frame analytic findings in a digestible and business friendly format that identifies key business implications

• Professional experience in an established performance management field (e.g., report creation, dashboarding, scorecards, etc.)

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures

• Ability to learn new tools quickly

• Creative business problem solving skills to design processes and deliver timely results for ad-hoc requests

• Working knowledge of secondary healthcare data specific to responsible markets (e.g. prescription and patient databases)

• Established performance reporting skills with proficiency in a broad range of methodologies including qualitative and quantitative design and data analysis)

• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare marketplace dynamics within responsible markets
