Senior Software Engineer - APEX

Overview:

This position is the Development Team Lead accountable for the development and delivery of solutions associated with the Allocation Planning & Execution System at BMS. This system is a key component for manufacturing slot planning and allocation within the BMS Cell Therapy space. This role requires a leader with prominent experience on Microsoft Technologies like .Net (ASP and C#), SQL Server and Azure DevOps. This role will be responsible for ensuring the application is aligned with the business requirements and that it meets the highest quality standards .

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the IT matrix and business teams with a primary focus on the strategic planning & delivery of new/enhanced capabilities, including innovation initiatives, to drive effective customer engagement & experience.

  • Work closely with onshore teams, especially the Functional/Technical Lead and Architect and Digital Capability Manager (DCM) to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Design and delivery of solutions on Microsoft Technologies like .Net (ASP / C#), SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, etc

  • Collaborate on the development schedule and ensure timely delivery of new features and enhancements.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure the application is aligned with the business objectives of the organization.

  • Participate in technical design sessions with the development teams

  • Ensure the application is scalable, maintainable, and robust.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, management information systems or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in IT technical project execution and delivery of IT capabilities

  • 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Technology like .Net, SQL Server, Azure DevOps

  • Experience with DevOps, continuous integration, and deployment.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with and awareness of the Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • Ability to deliver complex systems to one or multiple geographies and business units.

  • Experience in information technology and management, project and portfolio management, planning & delivery of systems/solutions.

  • Leads by example within the team by producing extensible and maintainable products. Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist certification(s) a plus

  • SQL Server certification(s) a plus

Skills/abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information and concepts to audiences at all levels

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Technology like .Net, SQL Server, Azure DevOps

  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
