Bristol Myers Squibb Associate Scientist I, Materials Science in Devens, Massachusetts
The Associate Scientist I in Manufacturing Sciences & Technology will support the Materials Science group in the life cycle management of consumables and single-use systems utilized for biopharmaceuticals commercial manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, and Global Procurement groups on cross-functional teams.
The subject matter expert for this position will be primarily required to:
Provide technical expertise for single-use systems implementation including the authorship of qualification and validation technical documentation
Support consumable specification development
Evaluate and manage supplier changes to single-use systems (component design, manufacturing process, specification, etc.) to maintain GMP compliance.
Perform material assessments to determine suitability of new single-use systems
Lead the testing of single-use systems as necessary to qualify use of the new components in GMP manufacturing
Support material and consumable manufacturing investigations
B.S. in Chemical, Biochemical, Material Science Engineering, or Chemistry with a minimum of 1 year relevant industry experience
Awareness of cGMP compliance and regulatory agency requirements.
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Strong oral communication and technical writing skills
