Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the company's first European biologics manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the company's growing biologics portfolio. Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus.

The Role

BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit a Downstream Bioprocess Specialist on a 12 month fixed-term contract within the Manufacturing Operations group. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the role will support the ongoing manufacturing operations within the facility, as well as qualification activities for new processes and equipment. This is a 24/7 shift role, graded at EG-80.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Creation/revision of operating procedures & other relevant documentation for large scale manufacturing

• Execution of commercial manufacturing processes according to established work instructions.

• Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

• Takes part in investigations and optimisation of processes using scientific, engineering and lean principles

• Operates all production equipment within the assigned functional area

• Effectively uses process automation systems (i.e. Delta V and Syncade Interactions, OSI/Pi Historian) and some supporting business systems (i.e. SAP. Trackwise, Maximo etc.).

• Assists with reviewing batch and exception reports for each manufacturing lot in conjunction with Quality representative and provide input to related investigations and QA audit activities.

• Engages in and supports culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through ownership of improvement for work processes, equipment and safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience required :

• The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Level 7 in Engineering/ Science related subject or a Level 6 with 5+year's relevant experience.

• A minimum of 1-2 years' large-scale experience in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.

• Experience with Delta V and MES would also be considered an advantage.

• The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• The successful candidate must demonstrate problem solving ability and to adhere to scheduled timelines.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a cross functional collaborative environment are required.

Due to the nature of the manufacturing role, shift work will be required as the site moves into 24/7 mode of operations.
